Godfrey of Bouillon - Bouillon Castle
The statue of Godfrey of Bouillon standing in front of the walls of the Bouillon Castle was created by the Belgian artist Victor Demanet in 1938. Godfrey of Bouillon (1060-1100) was a medieval Frankish knight who was one of the leaders of the First Crusade from 1096 until his death. He was the lord of the Belgian town Bouillion and sold the castle of the town to the Bishop of Liège in order to finance the crusade. Godfrey became the first ruler of the Kingdom of Jerusalem and denied the title king as he believed that the true king of Jerusalem was Jesus.
Wildt'sches Haus - Basel, Switzerland
The Wildt'sche Haus is a mansion built in 1768 on behalf of the silk ribbon manufacturer Jeremias Wildt Socin and served as a city palace for his daughter Margaretha. The house was converted in 1951 into a foundation and is now the headquarters of the Swiis Academy of Medical Sciences. It is also used for events of the Basel Governing Council, the University of Basel or by the private sector.

The Gol Stave Church dates from 1212 and is originally from Gol, Hallingdal, Norway. When the town built a new church around 1880, it was decided to demolish this old stave church. It was saved from destruction by The Society for the Preservation of Ancient Norwegian Monuments , which bought the materials in order to re-erect the church elsewhere. It was acquired by King Oscar II, who financed its relocation and restoration.

Ancient Roman aqueduct bridge across the Gardon River in South France, possibly built in 40-60 AD. With a height of 49 m and a length of 274 m, the bridge is an imposing architectural construction which was built without use of mortar and clamps. Its purpose was - as a part of the 50 km long waterway construction - to carry water from a spring in Uzès to the Roman colony Nemausus (Nimes).
